- The repair procedure is performed under Local Anaesthetic and can take anywhere between 1-4 hours.
- The skin is incised and the excess skin is trimmed off and fat is reduced. The scar is hidden within the internal aspect of the arm.
- The wound is closed with sutures and covered with dressings. An elastic bandage may be recommended for several weeks following the procedure for optimal results.
- For more milder cases, our Surgeons may be able to use our specialist VASERlipo technology to achieve optimal results.
- VASERlipo is a form of liposuction that can help to precisely destroy any fat cells and tighten the loose skin.
- You will be reviewed and closely looked after by UKSKIN until after the wound has completed healed.
- This is a walk-in-walk-out procedure, once the procedure is complete, you can go home on the same day
- You will be given a post operative care pack to take home with you after your procedure
- Stitches will need to be removed 14 days (in most cases) after the procedure
- The surgeon will see you four months later for a final check-up
- Our team will arrange your complimentary suture removal as part of our aftercare process
- You will be given an out-of-hours emergency number if you have any questions post procedure
