Thigh Skin Excess Removal
Thigh Skin Excess Removal is a surgical procedure that removes the sagging skin excess that droops medially from the thighs. The most common reasons why an individual can develop skin excess are;
- Weight loss
This is a condition that cannot be corrected through exercise. The Thigh Skin Excess Removal will improve the appearance of your thighs, enables you to wear the clothes you want and boost your self-esteem.
At UKSKIN, this procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and takes between 2-3 hours. The skin will be incised and the excess trimmed off. The scar will be hidden within the internal aspect of the thigh. The wound will be closed with sutures and covered with dressings. Wearing compression underwear is recommended for few weeks. Like any other surgical procedure, there is a small risk of discomfort, bleeding, infection and wound healing problems.
Please be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home and to stay with you for at least the first night following surgery. Patients can go back to their normal daily activities 1 week after surgery but should avoid strenuous exercise for 4 weeks. You will be reviewed and closely looked after until the wound is completely healed. Scars should fade and flatten anywhere from three months to one year after surgery. The results shall be long-lasting, provided that you maintain a stable weight and general fitness.
