- At UKSKIN, we combine Gland Removal + VASERlipo® technology to achieve the optimal results for our patients
- VASERlipo® is a form of liposuction. Our surgeons use it to remove excess breast fat by safely breaking apart and draining the fat cells
- This form of liposuction is minimally invasive and has a rapid recovery time
- In patients with excessive glandular tissue, this cannot be removed by VASERlipo® alone and will need to be combined with gland removal
- For gland removal, a small incision is made around the edge of the areola, where excess fat and glandular tissue is removed
- Patients with very mild Gynecomastia may only require gland removal without VASERlipo®
- This is a walk-in-walk-out procedure, once the procedure is complete, you can go home on the same day
- You will be given a post operative care pack to take home with you after your procedure
- Stitches will need to be removed 14 days (in most cases) after the procedure
- The surgeon will see you four months later for a final check-up
- Our team will arrange your complimentary suture removal as part of our aftercare process
- You will be given an out-of-hours emergency number if you have any questions post procedure
